GRANGE ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH, DARLINGTON(Minister: Rev Dr John Elliston) The church has just completed a complete redesign of the building frontage, with glass doors and a glass screen allowing people outside to see what is going on in the Sanctuary. There are also two floors of offices above and a lift. Give thanks for the generous giving of the membership, which has allowed the development to take place. Pray that people will feel attracted to come in and find out what the church is about. Pray that the work of the 700 Club, a local charity concerned with homelessness and related matters, will grow and bear greater fruit as they take up occupation of the new offices. John Elliston, the church's minister, begins overdue sabbatical leave at the end of this month. Pray that, during the next few months, he will find refreshment and the renewed presence of God's Spirit within him. Pray that the church members will grow closer together as the local body of Christ in the minister's absence. Give thanks for those NBA ministers, Darlington clergy and church members who have agreed to lead worship while John is away.
