40 Days of Mission
We are called to engage in 40 Days of Mission in the period after Easter from 10th April to Pentecost on 15th May. Each Baptist Union Association is calling our churches to engage in one way or other in ‘on the ground evangelism’. Here is great opportunity to be focussed, creative and courageous in evangelism as we seek to make the good news of Jesus known. The South Eastern Baptist Association (SEBA) has made a brief video to stimulate thinking. Click on 40 days of Good News

Guidance for inviting visiting preachers
"Receiving the ministry of visiting preachers is a privilege and a wonderful expression of our fellowship across the churches.
It is a great opportunity for mutual encouragement and support. Obviously, we trust that the visiting preacher will lead the worship and minister the Word in a way that will build up the fellowship, but the receiving church can also encourage the preacher.
Clearly this happens during the visit, but it begins with the help and guidance given well before the date of the service. Often, but not always, this is done by the Church Secretary."Above is a short extract from Guidance for inviting visiting preachers, an NBA leaflet produced by the NBA Ministry Group. (see below)
Facing a Pastoral Vacancy
When a minster moves, a church faces considerable challenges about how it moves into a new phase of life and prepares to search for a new minister. 'Facing a Pastoral Vacancy' is designed to help a church think through the issues and consider the way forward. To download this valuable resource, please click on the link below. There is also a brief document below called 'Settlement Process'.
Moderators for churches
There are two documents below relating to the role of a moderator in a Baptist Church. One is 'Moderator' which is a brief guide for the church. There is 'Being a Moderator' which is for the person considering the role.
